How this works — and what it can't do

When someone uses ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity, their conversation is completely private. There is no way to see what real people typed — not for us, not for anyone. That data never leaves their chat window.

What this tool does instead is act as a secret shopper. We send the prompts below directly to each AI tool and record whether your business gets mentioned. Think of it as periodically asking the AI "who would you recommend?" and tracking the answer over time.

For real traffic data — how many actual visitors are arriving from AI tools and what they do on your site — see the AI Traffic tab. That data comes from Google Analytics and reflects actual visits.
